An Adventure in Paris

Paris – City of Love – But where do you eat?

We know many of our clients travel internationally on business and sometimes pleasure (which is where we come in handy!), so we thought we’d share with you a little information we have about some of the best places to eat in Paris...

You can reach Paris in around two and a half hours these days.  That’s incredible isn’t it?  And this is the main reason why most of you spend so much time over there.  There is little wonder when it’s such a beautiful city with so much on offer.  However, you may not have a lot of time for sightseeing if you’re on business, but everyone needs to eat.  For this reason we’ve listed a few restaurants we would recommend at least trying out next time you’re over there:

  •  Akrame.  This place is top of so many lists you wouldn’t believe us if we told you.  The best of the best dine here when they’re in town and you can expect to be brushing shoulders with some of the Paris elite virtually every day of the week.  It came as quite a shock to the culinary world when Akrame Bellalal, the extremely talented chef, managed to get the restaurant in the Michelin Guide during its first year of opening.  Since then Akrame has been the focus for a lot of critical attention.  The food is outstanding and its location, just a stone’s throw from the Arc de Triomphe, makes it a wonderful place for a special dinner.
  • La Table du Lancaster.  This extremely luxurious choice is located in The Hotel Lancaster of course, not far from Champs Elysées.  If you are lucky enough to be a guest at this wonderful hotel you will know just how hard it is for those who are not guests to get a reservation in the restaurant; however, it’s not impossible if you book well in advance.  The food is remarkable to say the very least.  Ingredients are fresh and simple, yet thrown together to create something very special indeed.  We would like to recommend the lamb’s shoulder if you go soon (of course the menus may change).  The atmosphere and decor of Table du Lancaster are exquisite.  The geishas painted on the walls, the plush and luxuriant furnishings and the highly efficient and somewhat fawning waiting staff will make this a meal you will never forget.
  • .  Pétrelle is one of those places that are simply inspired.  This is in no small part thanks to the superb imagination and efforts of one Jean-Luc Andre, who is not only an exquisite chef, but also an inspired interior designer.  The whole restaurant reeks of artistic flare and is frequented by the elite in the art world, from fashion designers to film stars.  The menus are a la carte and seasonal so we couldn’t really recommend any particular dish.  We will say however that in our experience the food is as relaxed as the environment; good, healthy and non pretentious, fresh food, presented to absolute perfection.  This is a must see.

Company for dinner?
